What are Implanted Retained Dentures?
Friday, September 8, 2017
If you are missing all of your upper or lower teeth of your mouth and are tired of worrying about your dentures falling out, we have a solution!
Implanted retained dentures. These are dentures that are fitted for your mouth onto a bar that locks them in place.
What can you expect when you start?
First, you will meet with us to make an impression of the area that needs the implant. We will use this impression to get a set of temporary dentures so we can set and figure out how your final dentures will fit inside your mouth, as well as provide you with temporary dentures during this process.
Next, your mouth will be prepared for the dentures. This is when the screws will be placed into the bone. We will closely monitor the healing process to ensure that your mouth is ready for the dentures to be placed.
Once you are fully healed, another impression will be done. This will be for the support bar and final dentures. You will still have regular appointments at this point so that we can be sure that everything is moving along quickly as it should be.
We will be sure to make adjustments so that the comfort is exactly where you want it. This may take a few adjustments, so always be sure to let us know if something doesn’t feel right. We will be sure that the comfort and look is what you want and make any necessary changes that may need to be done.
If you are ready for a better dentures solution, this may be the answer for you. Here are some simple but great benefits if you choose these dental implants:
Better stability when eating: by having these dentures more secure in your mouth, you can feel confident in what you are eating.
Speech improvement: with more stable dentures, you will notice that you will be able to speak with more confidence as well. You will not have to worry about loose dentures falling out of your mouth.
Looks better: this benefit speaks for itself. You will feel more confident when your smile is comfortable and natural looking.
