Sleep Apnea is a serious sleep condition where airway constriction causes breathing cessation, which repeats several times through the night.
Sleep apnea affects the quality of your sleep as well as your internal organs and daytime ability to function well.
During sleep, muscles and soft tissues in the throat and mouth relax, shrinking the airway. This increases the velocity of airflow during breathing. As the velocity of required air is increased, soft tissues like the soft palate and uvula vibrate. The vibrations of these tissues result in “noisy breathing” or snoring.

The Silent Nite® appliance works by positioning the lower jaw in a way that you get the airflow you need by maintaining a clear airway to improve breathing, all night long. Snoring is usually eliminated or significantly reduced with this appliance, which is comfortable and adjustable by the patient while enabling your peace of mind.
